COMBAT CONTROL TEAM TRIBUTE CAR

About a week ago, MultiCam had the unique opportunity to be a part of the Richard Childress Racing #62 South Point Hotel & Casino Chevrolet Camaro driven by Brendan Gaughan in the NASCAR Nationwide Series Virginia529 College Savings 250 at Richmond International Raceway. The #62 car was specially decorated in honor of the U.S. Air Force Combat Control Team (CCT). CCT is a special operations unit of the Air Force that’s comprised of FAA-qualified air traffic controller ground combatants. Their primary job is to move in undetected into combat or hostile locations and destroy enemy targets using close air support. The car serves as a memorial to combat controllers of today and years past. Each gold star on the hood of the car featured the initials of CCT members killed in action while fighting in Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. It’s an honor to have MultiCam included in such a tribute. Thanks to Richard Childress Racing, Brendan Gaughan, the South Point Casino & Hotel team, and Phillip Freeman for all their hard work and hospitality.
