As we stated in last week’s post, Duro Textiles debuted a couple of new fabrics at Shot Show this year. The first is Gamma which is a 400D nylon pack cloth which bridges the gap between our 330D and 500D offering. It’s a slick feeling fabric with great abrasion resistance and strength but also offers excellent weight savings over the 1000D and 500D Corduras. Gamma is perfect for many pack and vest applications.
The second is the TenCate Defender™ M fire retardant fabric. This fabric has set the standard for flame resistant military fabrics having been specified for all Army and Marine uniforms for ground forces in Iraq and Afghanistan.
